Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. She is Italian (from a paternal grandfather), Irish (from a mother), German and English. Linda was raised within the San Francisco Bay area, California she was the youngest of four kids. Her interest in acting began at age ten, when she was a singer in the school's Christmas show. She performed in school plays and in local theatres.
