Awkwafina began as a American rapper and singer, releasing sly tracks that tackled issues such as racial and sexuality with a humorous twist. Before expanding into Hollywood, she was able to make a few songs. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was just a teenager. In the college years, she remained focused on her studies. She majored both in women's study as well as journalism. For a brief period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered.
